getting multiple price quotes is a must. Just make sure you're comparing apples to apples. sometimes companies will try and find areas to cut corners in like the products they use. it makes sense to leverage other companies that specialize in these tasks too because if your employees are scattered in their tasks in doing productive actives and other tasks that don't produce any income like cleaning their office. Then you're being very inefficient.

Obtaining the price quotes in my area is indeed a good idea to know if the janitorial cleaning service is willing to negotiate fairly with my company or not to clean the building we have. If we can ask to see proof of insurance as you suggest, hopefully, they'll accept and give us some proof so we can hire the right persons for the job. Since you also stated that we should read through the contract before signing up, I'll make sure this happens so that I'll know the extent of the services the janitors are willing to clean.

Of the things you listed here, I do think that getting price quotes from other companies would be a good idea to do first. That way, I can figure out what kind of budget I'd be looking at and what to plan for. I would also look at the companies past work to see what kind of work they do.
